Alumni travel tour spotlight

Pack your bags for our first alumni tour of 2008 when we travel to Southern Africa from February 22 to March 6. For details on this and other tours, visit www.alumni.vt.edu/travel/index.html.

Also, join us on Feb. 5, 2008, for an online presentation of the South Pacific Wonders trip. This one-time, interactive, 30-minute presentation will be hosted by Eric White, a district manager of Collette Vacations. This virtual tour of Australia and New Zealand starts in Melbourne and winds through Cairns and Sydney, then, after a brief flight to New Zealand, explores Queenstown and Christchurch. To sign up for this sneak peek of the cities, sights, and wildlife that make this region so unique, click on the Australia/South Pacific Wonders link at www.alumni.vt.edu/travel/index.html.

Connect with the General Assembly

To keep alumni informed of issues before the Virginia General Assembly that might affect Virginia Tech, the Alumni Association maintains a website dedicated to legislative advocacy. To learn more about the issues and the upcoming Hokie Day 2008, when alumni have an opportunity to interact with legislators, visit www.alumni.vt.edu/legislative/index.php after Dec. 20.
